There are various Team Competitions run by British Riding Clubs throughout the year. These competitions allow members of Riding Clubs to compete at an Area level, in various disciplines over a range of levels, as teams and individuals. These competitions are for both seniors and juniors. If successful at Area level, there is then a National Championship competition.
We are in Area 10 and generally send teams to all the competitions. These are usually great fun and we have had a good deal of success too!
We have a team manager (sometimes called Chef D’Equipe) for each competition who will liaise with all team members and sort out all the entry paperwork. (There are a lot of rules regarding team competitions e.g. eligibility of horse and rider, tack allowed etc. together with very strict rules including Flu Vaccination certification – for the horse not the rider!) The Team Manager co-ordinates all this, but needs each individual’s help with providing the relevant information.
If you are interested in representing Maidstone & District Riding Club on a team, or just want to find out a bit more, please look up the team manager under the “Contact Us” tab. They will be pleased to hear from you and have a chat etc.
